last nite in nepal was the gala night.. well.. by right.. the gala night was supposed to be a grand party for everyone to miggle, take photos and gorge on pretty girls and handsome guys right? the moment we stepped into the ballroom.. we discovered tt cultural differences can extend to the meaning of gala night as well..
most (i mean almost all) of the nepalese guys re dressed in jeans and shirts.. some even dared to appear in t-shirts!!! wad a gala night man!!! to make it worse, when all the sexy international female delegates enter the ballroom, the nepalese guys were staring at all of us.. it was not just the normal checking out kind.. the look was quite perverted one lor..
and it shocked everyone tt 1) there were no tables at all, everyone had to stand ard the entire night, 2) it was buffet dinner style, same as wad we had been doing the entire trip for every meal.. same food as well, 3) there was NO programmes for the night at all, the onli programme of the entire night was either u eat or u club (aka dance) in the ballroom..
so.. being full of singaporean culture.. and in attempt to make sure we dun get taken advantage of by the drunken pokara uni guys.. all the sporean gals just sat down in a corner and entertained ourselves.. despite knowing this is super anti-social, i acutally supported this behaviour.. hello.. if u dun know wad is a gala night.. at least research on it lor..
now.. my most enjoyable part of tt night was the photo-shots tt we took (lots among ourselves) and some with the other international delegates..
our singaporean black contigent.. cuiqin is super sexy lor.. but she kept hiding her shoulders with her shawl..
with my best thai fren, om.. she's super chio.. and when she takes pic, she always pose with her face in tt certain angle.. oh.. and she's a super good dancer too.. so glad she was in my campaign group.. which we did frenship dance on the streets..
with xinyi, john (australia) and the new nepalese apro secretary (onli nepalese guy who owns a suit)..
last but not least, the most pretty singaporean gals.. haha..
