all alone in my pgp room now and feeling rather upset..
just went out with my parents for dim sum breakfast, was tempted to follow them home.. missed mom so much.. yet.. i know i wont study a bit at home.. and i haven started on pharm prac.. and if i go home, i'm absolutely not end up studying.. and i gotta work the next 2 days.. argh.. i really like cramming myself with activities but there re just times when i just feel so negative bout the amt of work i have on hand..
and this is not the only thing tt i'm feeling upset bout..
for the first time in these months, he had retreated back into his cave (well, for those who read "men re from mars, women re from venus", u will know wad i'm talking bout).. it all started suddenly last evening.. without warning or anything.. i know it has got nothing to do with me.. yet the woman's instinct in me is making me take things personally..
i'm trying really hard not to think bout it now.. but it's really difficult.. i know i shld just leave him alone and after some time he will be back to his normal loving self.. and everything will be fine.. yet somehow alot of things will keep running thru my mind.. argh..
try harder gal.. relax and conc on mugging bah.. jia you..
went out after microB exam.. yup.. i know the exams re not over yet, but i need a breather.. just felt the need out and breathe the air outside nus..
plus i've nv been out late before cos mom wont allow tt.. since i stay in campus now, i shld try to b a little rebellious.. mayb just once.. at least i tried.. most teenagers go thru tt rebellious stage of life tt they try to challenge authority.. i've never really done tt b4.. so.. although i feel a little bit guilty bout going out late without mom's consent, i must still really try once at least bah..
so we had dinner @ ikea (cos it was 8 plus already.. too hungry to go down to orchard den find food).. ordered the usual stuff: cold water prawns, chix wings, salmon, meetballs, daim cake.. and fish & chips which was today's special, it was quite good cos the fish was ultra huge but the skin was not just a think layer of flour like those outside.. plus it onli cost $4.90.. the chips was not worth mentioning though.. and i din really eat much of the chips.. no pt putting on extra calories for nothing..
head down to orchard at 9 plus for the supposingly late night shopping which the adverts claim to last till midnight on the last fri on each month.. it was a total disappointment.. out first stop taka closed at 10pm, second stop isetan closed at 10.30pm.. den went over to far east (which was on the late night shopping advert) where all the shops were closed already by 11pm.. tangs was prob the best since it was still open at 11.15pm..
bought nothing at all although i had came to orhard with full anticipation for shopping..
so we left for cine to watch a midnight movie.. i had never watched midnight movies in spore.. the onli time i watched was in hk with my cousins and bro, i still rmb it was the ring 2 and i was so freaked out tt i din dare to bath and slp after tt..
we got tix for the hills have eyes 2 at 11.55pm.. and i went down to cheers to buy pink dolphin since movies usually have like 5-10mins adverts.. so we went back to the theatre at 12.02 midnight.. and the movie had already started.. i just realised tt we missed the mutant birthing scene which reviews say it's the best part of the movie since it's the most gruesome.. it was this part tt made the movie R21.. argh.. they must have done this on purpose or smth.. to start early and cause the audience to miss tt part.. cos the authorities wanna allow controlled freedom of expression in spore so they din wanna cut off the scene.. den they might as well make cinemas cut the adverts and start early to make most pple miss it.. wad a smart move.. killing 2 birds with 1 stone.. lol..
anw, the movie was really quite good.. with this, i means it was scary enough to freak u out, although the plot was nothing fabulous.. a saddist like me felt quite sick after watching for half an hour and wanted to leave, just tt i din leave cos i din wanna waste money.. highly reccommended for brave guys to bring girls to watch.. the movie will freak the gals out.. and den hmm hmm.. lol..
felt tt my heart was palpitating after the movie, my adrenoceptors were highly active and i'm gonna get nightmare if i went to sleep like tt..
so..
caught 200 pounds beauty at 1.45am to neutralise the effects.. not bad, quite funny and heart-warming.. love the little maltese in the movie tt knew how to do "bang".. so cuteee.. i'm gonna teach my dog to do tt when i finally have one..
and i forgot to mention tt we saw galvin's gf priscilla on the streets.. she onli saw me (i think) and cos we onli seen each other once, i onli realised tt it was her after we walked past us.. tt was a close encounter.. our secret almost got revealed.. phew..
cab back to pgp at 4am.. my latest night out ever..
just came back to PGP after having brunch with my parents at Holland V.. they were sending bro bro back to ocs in the morn hence dropped by to eat with me.. we went to crystal jade at holland v and ordered... ... dim sum with porridge.. haha.. fyi: crystal jade have breakfast set which included 2 dim sum + 1 porridge + free flow coffee/tea for $5.50++.. so for those who would like a traditional chinese breakfast, it's really quite worth the money.. and must rmb tt crystal jade dim sum have some quality, not just the pao & siew mai that u can for 50 cents in those hot metal and glass boxes in your school canteen or 7-11.. those which i dont categorize as dim sum at all.. it's not meant to taste like tt.. anyway, for my frens who have a bit more cash in their pocket and love dim sum, i've found another new place to enjoy 1st cls cantonese food cum dim sum in spore.. try this tung lok signature restaurant at vivo.. dad knows that manager so we found out tt the chefs re from the old lei garden.. no wonder the food there is super exquisite, not only pretty to look at but also have many different layers of taste.. yum yum.. the lobster mian1 xian4 and the bamboo clam lotus leaf baked gultinous rice is super nice.. although u must be prepared to burn a hole in your pockets though.. 3 of us ate $120 for lunch!!

the restaurant entrance in vivo.. it's located near marks and spencer.. and back to the main topic.. my parents coming for brunch with me.. super touched cos mommy brought me soup.. hehe.. it's apple chix soup for dinner tonight.. cos i told mommy i kept eating choc and having sore throat so she decided tt must boil smth nourishing since i too heaty le.. although i dun really subscribe to the heaty theory, nvm.. mommy's love enough to cure me of all symptoms of exam stress le.. hehe.. thx so much..
and we went to cold storage to stock up supplies.. wanted to buy choc again but mom prohibited me from it.. in the end.. here's my new supplies..
1) apple cranberry juice
2) dried blueberries and cranberries
3) huge red grapes
4) green tea cakes from break talk (for breakfast tml)
a look at this list and any sci student or any health conscious person will realise the super high antioxidant content of my supplies.. haha.. i definitely wont grow old and haggard lor.. dad wanted me to buy cereals and grains too (which i rejected cos i hate eating those)..
a little wishlist for post-exams days:
- gelare ice-cream (i've got a 20 bucks voucher, who wanna go?)
- crystal jade hk high tea (another 20 bucks voucher, anyone??)
- nice simple black gown from taka (cos i've got another 50 bucks voucher.. but this one cannot share.. i shall keep it all for myself)
- try the rio brazillian restaurant at queenstown.. it's 1-for-1 till 9 may.. so i must go b4 tt..
- watch phantom of the opera
- tix for swan lake on ice
- ucc chalet (if they finally decide to have one again)
bro bro is going got nus law sch interview and test next weekend, which means tt all 3 of them shall visit me again next sunday.. hope it all goes well for him.. good luck bro =)

was feeling super stressed up while studying pharmaco in my room yesterday..
Solution: Toblerone
so i happily walked all the way from my room to the not-so-far georgie's mart and got myself 100g of sinful indulgence.. pple lose weight when they re stressed.. me? i prob gain lotsa calories from pigging out more often.. haha..
although the kinda melted toblerone from georgie's mart was not as gd as the usual ones (i like it not melted, yet soft enough so i wont have to bite hard.. tips: do not ever put toblerone into fridge.. it spoils it totally).. den again.. it's still toblerone.. and a little bit of toblerone always keeps shannon happy.. hehe..
one of the things i hate bout exams is the weight gain that accompanies it.. somehow, i just cant resist pigging out during exam periods.. studying zaps energy away from me.. and when life is simply concentrating on studies.. the only enjoyment i have everyday is from food!!
so we walked really fast just to try to get out of this path asap.. there were bus stops along the way.. but the road was really so deserted tt we were sure to be feeding mosquitos if we stopped and wait for the bus.. (which explains y we ended up walking 5 bus stops before reaching the village)..
there was no one else in the restaurant as expected since the village is simply out of the way for almost everyone.. basically.. the buffet was just ordering pizza as much as u wan.. u can even sit there from 10am to 10pm and eat pizza the entire day (provided u dont get sick of eating it)..
so we ordered 3 10" pizza on our first order.. haha.. a bit greedy though.. cos it ended up tt 2 of us gotta finish 24 slices of pizza.. at first it was quite enjoyable.. cos the pizza was hot and chessy.. and i loved the teriyaki chix pizza the most.. den when it got a bit cold.. i started tasting all the onion in the pizza.. which was not tt apetitzing.. and i started taking out pepperoni from the rest of the pizza too..
tips: dont try to order so many at one go.. cold pizza really dont taste nice..
nevertheless, i managed to finish 10 slices and of cos..someone had to finish 14 slices..haha.. and this was accomplished in 30 mins **clap clap**
from oishi pizza.. the first one tt came was the aloha combo pizza..
den came the teriyaki chix and the pepperoni ham and cheese..
within half an hour.. this was all that is left.. and of cos, i finished the last teriyaki chix piece after this as well..
birthday deco outside her downtown east chalet.. quite cute actually.. a pity i din think of such things for my own bday party.. pardon my lousy phototaking skills tt cut the "day" out of the "birthday".. u can get the professional version from lky..

just attended two 21st bday parties within 20 hours.. cool.. and both of them re in my list of closest frens.. so imagine the hole in my pocket tt it cost.. mmm..
anyway, had a really nice chat with lky on kit's bday.. luckily he came, if not i'll be really bored man.. something i always notice bout lky.. he's super gentleman.. my oldest impression of him dates back to the pri sch days where he would open doors for me (of cos, not only me.. but all other gals too).. i was stunned when he waited for me to finish my chix wing so tt he could throw the plate and stuff away for me.. haha.. i always know tt he's a super gentleman.. yet his acts of 'courtesy' never fails to surprise me..
to unattached gals out there: u can look for me, i'll give u his contacts.. haha.. but u must be able to withstand super pro conversation with him.. somehow he always makes me feels stupid with his super pro english and all the knowledge bout sophisicated things on earth.. he was teaching me how to use his super pro new(cos the plastic was still there) canon camera.. bout adjusting the exposure and face detection and wadever.. haha..
and we took super lotsa photos cos lky kept making me let him take my photo.. argh.. it was super strange taking a photo of yourself again and again.. make me feel so shy lor.. plus my pimple make me look so ugly, still need to keep taking photos.. sigh..

the highlight of kit's bday party: the chix wings and the mango cake (both lky and i enjoyed the mango cake..)

so it's a simple conclusion: i like chix wings and cakes.. haha..
Plin's bday party in my condo function room this time.. we booked both rooms so it's super big.. yup.. and here's the food.. the chix wings, of cos, was dedicated to me.. hehe..
to the workaholic xinyi, can use this caterer for pharm camp.. the food is good and cheap.. and the servings is super sufficient.. i was rather surprise tt the fruit punch was not diluted at all, considering how often caterers give diluted drinks..

went shopping first with my pacar family for plin's bday present on thurs after lecture.. the vivo puma din have the size we wanted.. so had to order and go down to marina square to collect the next day.. den had dinner at vivo food republic with manda, sandra and xinyi's pgp clinque..
shopping with xinyi's clinque was well.. extremely fufilling for them.. cos xinyi and swee lan just cant stop buying things.. haha.. i feel so evil for bringing them into shops and coming out myself empty handed but burning holes in their pockets.. got to a point where xinyi stop touching anymore clothes to prevent herself from buying anymore.. haha.. and my latest discovery: sweelan is the ultimate shopper among all of us.. even better than xinyi in buying things.. lol..
bought a yellow wallet from mango for kit.. i know she sure say it's vv mature one.. but then.. gal.. u re 21 yrs old already.. must look a little but more lady mah.. mayb den lam fung will knock on your doors one day.. haha..
saw a pink puma jacket at harbourfront when we went into the sports shop.. immediately..i sorta knew tt i can cancel the previous puma jacket order le.. this one is so much more plin-like.. plus it does not have the strange sleeves tt the grey one has.. so another XXX amount spent..
grand total spent on thurs: $1XX..
accompanied him to work and hence go to the esplanade box office on fri evening.. i got sick of the sistic online booking system of trial and error so decided tt i might as well go down to the box office myself to buy the liza wang concert tix..got quite decent seats in the end, although it was far from my parents' expectations still.. nvm.. at least the 200 bucks brought a smile to my mommy's face when i gave her the tix..
just out of curiousity, i asked the box office pple bout student price tix for the new phantom of the opera shows released just on the day itself.. to my surprise (cos i cant find it online), they still have student price tix..
$122 tix for just $52 + all the hoohah bout phantom + reading the programme= $104 spent on 2 phantom tix..
sigh..
yet.. somehow the money feels well-spent this time round..

had a very satisfying dinner tonight although it was local pgp food.. mango fish and sweet & sour pork with rice, completed with rum & rasin ice cream from georgie's mart.. hehe.. pure pgp meal..
xinyi just cancelled our lunch meeting tml.. sigh.. lunch alone.. prob just eat cornflakes.. will b too sian to go down and buy food..
to kit: i still dunno the details of your bday party!!! u haven told me a single thing.. and pick up your phone gal..

lotsa snacks and nissin cup noodles.. to save the lazy me from hunger when i'm too lazy to go down to buy food.. alternatively--- can always get my coolie to go and buy for me instead.. hehe..

the kitchen of my cluster.. looks super nice on photos.. but not in reality.. lotsa ants ard.. i dun dare to use the fringe at all.. filled with food.. and no idea how long some of the food had been left there to decompose.. eekk..
the fully equipped kitchen.. provided u dare to use any of the things.. my current list of items used: hot water dispenser and the kitchen tap.. i guess i can try the microwave one of these days..
reading bout apro rwg and fapa now.. doing homework before i can ans a email.. actually the email was sent to me on monday.. but there was pharmaco test on wed.. so i left it aside till today.. anw.. i'm really flattered.. similar to the tl incident.. i have no idea y it's all happening at all.. yah.. y me of all pple?? esp cos i nv did anything outstanding in my opinion..
den again.. i shld try to find out more first.. mayb it will result in smth nice, like how the tl incident did changed my life.. was talking to mom bout it and she was saying.. y shld i bother to know y i'm asked to do it?? whether i wan to do it is so much more impt den y they choose me.. true.. advice stored in database.. haha..
i got posted to hougang polyclinic for my year 2 preceptorship.. wondering if it's a good or bad thing.. indeed it's vv near my house.. walkable distance from hougang mrt mean's i'll need only 15mins to travel to work.. asked shiqi for some opinions just now..
advice i've got:
polyclinic alot of packing n see alot of prescriptions, den also will get to do dispensing and abit of merchandising. will learn to counsel for use of inhalers, glucose and bp meter and P only med, but sat must work. more xin ku but i feel tt can learn quite a lot esp durg names for chronic disease... ...
plin called last nite (when i was watching death note in my room.. quite nice show) to ask me if i wanted to exchange with her.. since i dun mind travelling.. btw, she got posted to mount e guardian.. which is not too bad a place since u also get to see alot of prescription.. furthermore, u see alot alot of foreigners at mount e..
still deciding.. cos a little bit of laziness to travel after i found out where is hougang poly..
poor sandra got posted to amk unity with another fren..
jiaen is going suntec guardian, not too big.. but wow.. can shop everyday..

3rd day living in pgp now..
some updates bout life..
1st DAY: busy moving luggage to and fro pgp and sci.. tiring.. cleaned up my room.. it wasnt too dirty actually.. but cant stand dirty and messy place.. at least i can now step on the floor with my bare feet.. the room looks vv empty..
1st NIGHT: cant get to sleep.. mayb it's the environment.. kept waking up.. needs a bit of adjustment time..
2nd DAY: woke up really early for work.. benefit of staying on campus: now i can wake up 45 mins before reporting time instead of the usual 2 hour plus.. saves lotsa time.. no school following that.. was supposed to mug for pharmaco test the next day.. slept instead.. would have slept alot more if not for someone waking me up non-stop..
2nd NIGHT: ate dinner in the pgp seminar room downstairs.. chix drumstick rice.. not bad.. much better than the mixed veg rice i had the night before.. was talking to mom before dinner.. i'm having chix rice and she was having abalone chix soup.. sigh.. miss home-cooked dinner.. but i shld take this as a slimming opportunity..
was supposed to mug thru the night for pharmaco.. cant take it and kept alternating from sleeping to studying the whole night.. stress level very high.. so sympatheic ANS in place thru the nite.. cant understand how to rmb all the stupid drug names and MOA at all.. sigh.. give up..
3rd DAY: now.. just had pharmaco test.. need to go immigrations to settle my documents.. cant sleep again.. gotta do apps proposal dengan xinyi tonight.. shall go visit her room later.. haha.. my room is getting messy.. only after 3 days.. but at least now it looks more like a room..
verdict: still enjoying campus life now.. but would do much better with alot more chance for sleep..
